Data Usage and Privacy

All personal details (that is name, postal address, telephone number, email address) displayed on this site will only be used for the operation of the North Hockey Association, its sub committees, the North Men's League and the North Woman's League and made available to other hockey organisations (such as EH or the associations constituent counties) as is deemed appropriate by the relevant committee. It may also be used by members of the association and the leagues for the operation of their own hockey activities and the organisation of matches. Under no circumstances should the data or associated facilities be used for any commercial or business purposes.

In order to protect the data from being gathered by search engines, spam harvesters or misused by any malware on an infected client PC the data is stored and processed as follows:

The data is stored in encrypted form on both the server and any client PC using it.

The data is dynamically decrypted when it is displayed and is not stored, in clear form, on the client PC (eg in the browser cache)

Downloadable data (eg in a word document, a pdf file or a spreadsheet) is stored as is but the link to it is via an indirect link/ password protected

The site parameters are set such that search engines should not index or follow links from either pdf or doc files.

However the information is still generally available to anyone who come to this site. Therefore if anyone wants their details removed or reduced will they please let me know via my email address on the bottom of the North home page
